Money should obey you.
Not a bank. Not a state.
We chose USDC because we believe every person on this planet — regardless of where they live, what they think, or who they are — has the right to send and receive value freely.
The world today is full of invisible barriers. Governments block accounts. Banks freeze transfers. Payment processors refuse transactions — not because anything illegal happened, but because they disapprove of who you are, what you sell, or what you believe. We built Fanshap on USDC precisely because we refuse to let that happen here.
The real problem with traditional payments
- A bank can freeze your account without warning or explanation
- Governments can order payment blocks on individuals or entire categories of activity
- Card processors can cut off creators for arbitrary 'terms of service' violations
- Cross-border transfers can be delayed days, rejected, or confiscated
- Chargebacks let buyers reverse payments long after goods were delivered
- Your financial data is shared, sold, and surveilled
- No bank can freeze a Solana wallet you control
- Transactions settle on a public blockchain — no authority can silently block them
- No payment processor stands between you and your money
- Cross-border transfers settle in seconds, anywhere on Earth
- Escrow protects buyers without giving banks chargeback power over sellers
- Transactions are public and verifiable — not secretly surveilled
Why USDC specifically
USDC is a stablecoin — 1 USDC = 1 USD, always. You don't need to worry about price volatility. If you sell something for 50 USDC, you receive the equivalent of $50. No crypto speculation, no surprises.
A creator in a country with restricted banking, currency controls, or international sanctions can still receive payment. A buyer whose card doesn't work internationally can still pay. All you need is a Solana wallet — which anyone can create in two minutes, for free.
Solana processes thousands of transactions per second. A USDC transfer settles in under a second and costs a fraction of a cent in fees — compared to the days and percentages that traditional systems charge.
Every transaction on Fanshap is recorded on the Solana blockchain. Both buyers and sellers can verify payments independently — you don't have to trust us, you can check the chain yourself.
Our escrow system gives buyers the protection they need without handing that power to a bank. A smart contract-style escrow holds funds until delivery is confirmed. If there's a dispute, humans at Fanshap review the evidence — not an anonymous algorithm at a card company.
When funds are released from escrow, they go directly to your Solana wallet. We don't hold your money in a Fanshap account. We don't have a ledger you need to withdraw from. The USDC is yours the moment the transaction settles.
USDC (USD Coin) is a digital dollar issued by Circle, a regulated US financial company. Each USDC token is backed 1:1 by cash or short-term US Treasuries held in regulated financial institutions. It is not a speculative cryptocurrency — it is a digital representation of a real dollar.
Solana is the blockchain network we use to move USDC. Think of it as a global payment rail — extremely fast, extremely cheap, open to anyone. Unlike Bitcoin or Ethereum, Solana can process tens of thousands of transactions per second with fees of less than $0.001.
To use USDC you need a Solana wallet — a free app like Phantom or Solflare. You keep your own private keys. No account approval required. No credit check. No ID needed just to create a wallet.
We didn't choose USDC because it's trendy.
We chose it because no one should be able to stop a fair transaction
between two willing people.
